Tis the season to be cozy! One of my favorite things about the winter is all the cozy that it comes with. I spend most of the chilly season being a total cream puff… the only thing I am concerned about wearing is comfies. Anyone else with me?? I am someone who totally dresses for comfort (but also LOVE getting all dressed up sometimes if you know what I mean) and I love this time of year because it means PJs!!
Pumpkin pickin’ time! Ah picking pumpkins is something I look forward to every fall. Not a year has gone by that I have missed a trip to the pumpkin patch. The perfect pumpkin is hard to find… I look for one that has a good stem, not too much dirt and is round on all sides. Round ones are the best for carving, however, I always end up with a funky looking pump too because I feel bad for it! What if no one picks that one? This year I went to a patch in San Diego and it was over 100 degrees! Yikes. You can see me hanging in the shade in a few pictures below. Although it did not feel like fall, it was so much fun and one of the best pumpkin patches I had ever been to!
Happy weekend everyone! Do you have any special plans for the weekend? I am currently in the airport on my layover as I make my way back to NH. It is 4am and I am soo sleepy but sleeping on flights is not something I can do easily. Can’t wait to share some fall pictures from stunning New England 🙂 keep your eyes out!
I took these pictures a few weeks ago when it became officially fall but was still extremely hot in southern CA. It was so stinkin hot that I waited until the sun was set before I went outside haha. One of my favorite things about this season is the deep neutral colors… I find them soothing and peaceful. These pictures also have a hit of deep orange / red… which could also be described as caliente! If you have not heard, caliente has been named color of the year by Benjamin Moore. What a perfect color choice. I am a fan of the pick and mostly because of what it means…
Here to talk about girls and pink 🙂 I got this t shirt a few weeks ago and I love love love it! Not only is it PINK, but it also has a flower on it and ALSO says “girl power” oh and ALSO is slightly distressed which I stinkin love. Have you seriously ever seen a better shirt?! I highly recommend it, it’s super comfy and come on… represent the power of girls. I also wanted to share the best purchase I have made in a long time… this Rag & Bone backpack (the color is sold out on the r&b website but can be found at revolve) that can also be transitioned into a handle bag.
This bag has been on my eye for a veryyy long time. Whenever I would see it on display I always admired it, tried it on and pretended it was mine haha. When it finally went on sale I bought it! I got it for under $200 so if you want it, keep an eye out! Since I wear a lot of neutrals, few patterns and many shades of pink… so this light blush color was perfect for me. I also LOVE that it comes in black and gray versions.
Venice CA is for sure one of my favorite places in southern california to shop, people watch, walk around and get a tasty bite to eat! I lived in Culver City for a year which was pretty close to Venice, so I tried to go as often as I could! Los Angeles is an awesome city for so many reasons. I am not totally sure why, but sometimes I didn’t always find it as inspiring as some other places. So, to me Venice was a little escape, still within the greater LA area but something about it was much more peaceful, exciting and inspiring. I could seriously wander around abbot kinney blvd. all day! Just looking around, poking my head into every store, eating honey lavender ice cream from Salt &Straw and buying wayyy too many cards. I love cute cards and will never pass up a chance to snag one for a friend or even myself haha. I bought this card from one of the cutest stores, Burro. It said “even shooting stars dream of you” and I just wrote a little note to myself! haha. One of my other favorite things to do is walk around the Venice Canals. It is soo quiet and absolutely the cutest little area to live. Last time I was there I saw a mommy duck with her little duckings! They were so fluffy and cute and just cracking me up trying to keep up with each other :’)
These pictures were taken on one of my last days in LA, I strolled around Venice, had two drinks (maybe 3?) from Intelligentsia Coffee (obviously the coffee and matcha is great! but you gotta try the peony tea!!) and got mexican food.
